Program Overview

Trauma remains one of the leading causes of sudden death worldwide. In the critical first minutes, the right knowledge can truly save lives.

Accidents happen without warning. A rapid and correct response can make the difference between deterioration and stabilisation of an injured person.

This training builds confidence, speed, and practical skills that can reduce preventable mortality and protect human resources. It is an investment in safety, prevention, and effective management of any emergency situation.

The course is delivered through lectures, hands-on skill stations, and interactive scenarios using role players.

This program is designed for security personnel, high-risk professionals, instructors, corporate staff, and socially aware citizens who want to develop practical, meaningful trauma response skills.

Emergency Trauma Response (ETR) – Key Modules


  • Scene safety and threat assessment
  • Legal considerations
  • Basic human physiology
  • Kinematics of trauma
  • Primary casualty assessment using the MARCH algorithm
  • Hemorrhage control (dressings, hemostatic gauze/dressings, tourniquets)
  • Airway management (basic and advanced techniques to support oxygenation and ventilation)
  • Chest trauma
  • Musculoskeletal injuries and impaled objects
  • Spinal motion restriction and evacuation stretchers
  • Emergency vehicle extrication and helmet removal

Participation requires an age of 18+ (or written consent from a parent/guardian for minors) and the ability to take part in practical training activities.

  • Comfortable clothing is recommended for hands-on training.
  • This course focuses on first aid and trauma response and does not replace medical care or clinical procedures reserved for licensed healthcare professionals.

Duration:

  • 16 hours (2 days)

Methodology:

  • Lectures with a strong practical focus

  • Hands-on skill stations

  • Interactive field scenarios using role players

  • Throughout the program, participants take part in extensive practical drills and performance assessments, based on realistic scenarios with progressive levels of difficulty.

Emergency Trauma Response (Level 3)

Upon successful completion, participants receive an internationally recognised certification, aligned with Greek legislation and international first aid and trauma response protocols.


Recommendation: It is recommended that participants renew their certification every 2 years, to stay current with updated protocols and maintain proficiency and confidence.
